				We're havin' a party......

 This Saturday is a "See ya later" (going away) party for my best friend..... {I'll be heartbroken}
I loveeeeeee party food! What is something you make when having get togethers and how do you make it?

 Special Drinks?
 Dips?
 Desserts?

Now remember, I will most likely have to buy the ingrediants, so don't go crazy on me!

 Thanks!

 Appetizers:

~a big fat plate of veggies with a strong, creamy dip (google artichoke dip or something like that)

 ~spring rolls

 ~small California wraps

~always do the shrimp ring if at all possible

^^^ clean, light foods + strong flavours = good party

 1 can of crushed pineapple
1 can of friut cocktail (drained)
1/2 bag of colored mini marshmallows

mix dry pudding and cool whip, then add everthing else and stir!

	| One of my favorite appetizers ... but I hardly ever go to the effort of doing it ...
cook strips of bacon and while still hot and bendable, wrap it around a whole water chestnut ... then secure with a toothpick and dip in bar-b-que sauce (whatever one is your favorite) ... usually are best when the bacon is still at least warm ... hasn't gotten too soggy with the sitting around and the bbq sauce. They are really yummy!

	| Here's a simple idea we do at Christmas.
 Chipped beef balls

 1 pkg Philadelphia Cream Cheese

 1 pkg Chipped Beef

Take the cream cheese out of fridge a few hours before prep so its more workable.

Combine with chipped beef in a bowl and roll into marble sized balls, place on a plate and put back in fridge 'til ready to serve.

	| I just do assorted cheese....goat, brie, some type of other stong French cheese....and cubes of fresh French bread and some relishes...like an olive tapenade or a tomato pesto. Yum!
Last time I used the red pepper pesto and prosciutto with goat cheese on a water cracker. They were a hit!

I also like the Tostitos with Lime chips and some salsa.

In terms of desserts....I make amodified Tiramisu which is damn good (since I don't bake well, I do lots of no bake stuff)
-- 1 Sarah Lee Pound Cake (from the frozen food area)
-- Two packages of mocha or cholocate mousse
 -- Cocoa powder
 -- Chocolate covered expresso beans
 -- Amaretto
 -- one cup STRONG coffee

Layer the pound cake in the bottom of a square baking dish. Pour the coffee (mixed with about 1/2 cup amaretto) on the pound cake. The pound cake should basically be soaked, with no standing liquid, when done. Whip the mousse and layer it on top of the pound cake. Sprinkle the cocoa and add decorative chocolate covered expresso beans tot he top.

It's simple and VERY yummy! (and the pound cake holds more coffee/amaretto than lady fingers!)

	| A real simple one is a block of cream cheese with either Pick-A-Peppa sauce, picante sauce, or pepper jelly poured over it and serve with Wheat Thins.
